Seven-year-old Shaney-Lee, who hails from a farm in southwest England and lives among horses, goats, and chickens, naturally gravitates towards country and western music. This deep connection to the countryside made John Denver’s iconic song, “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” the ideal choice for his blind audition on “The Voice Kids” UK.

During the audition, judge will.i.am curiously asked, “Have you ridden on a horse?” to which Shaney-Lee confidently replied, “I came here on my horse today.” This delightful response added an extra layer of charm to his already captivating presence.

From the moment he stepped on stage, Shaney-Lee charmed the audience with his cuteness. The judges immediately recognized his adorableness, but they were eager to hear him sing.

As Shaney-Lee began, “Life is old there, older than the trees, younger than the mountains, blowing like a breeze, country roads, take me home…,” judge Danny Jones was quick to exclaim, “That is the cutest voice I’ve ever heard!”

The audience was equally taken by his performance. Within twenty seconds, they were standing, clapping along, and some were visibly moved to tears.

“The Voice Kids” UK, which is open to children aged 7 to 14, showcased not only Shaney-Lee’s adorable performance but also his old soul, as his mom describes him as “definitely an older person in a little man’s body.”

The overwhelming cuteness eventually melted the heart of judge Pixie Lott, who could no longer hold back her emotions.
