A 17-year-old boy working part-time at Pizza Hut stunned his parents when he drove home in a flashy Porsche. His parents, unable to believe their eyes, immediately confronted him.
“Where did you get that car?” they asked, their voices filled with disbelief.
“I bought it today,” the boy replied nonchalantly
.
His mother, now concerned, pressed further, “How did you pay for it? We know how expensive a Porsche is, and you definitely can’t afford one!”
The boy remained calm as he explained, “It’s used, and I got an amazing deal. I only paid 20 dollars for it.”
Shocked, his mother exclaimed, “Who on earth would sell a Porsche for 20 dollars?”
“The woman up the street,” he answered. “I don’t know her name—she’s new here. She ordered a pizza, and when I delivered it, she asked if I wanted to buy a Porsche for 20 dollars.”
Baffled and upset, his parents rushed over to the neighbor’s house to demand an explanation. They found the woman calmly tending to her garden.
The father, determined to get answers, said, “We’re the parents of the boy you sold a Porsche to for 20 dollars. We need to understand why.”
Without missing a beat, the woman looked up from her plants and replied, “This morning, I got a call from my husband. I thought he was away on business in Florida, but it turns out he’s run off to Hawaii with his secretary and has no intention of coming back.”
Still confused, the mother asked, “What does that have to do with selling our son a Porsche for 20 dollars?”
With a satisfied smile, the woman said, “He asked me to sell his Porsche and send him the money. So, I did exactly what he asked.”
